Lead Technology Instructor
 

Digital Girl, Inc. is looking for Lead Technology Instructors to join our growing team! If you love working with children, have knowledge of Computer Science and are hard working and dedicated we want to hear from you! 

 

Responsibilities include

  • Follow lesson plans for school-age children between 5-18, young adults 18-26, adults and older adults 55+for STEM based programming, community workshops, and fairs 

  • Communicate and interact regularly with DGI Directors and Administration

  • Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children’s learning and growth

  • Provide guidance to instructional staff to help resolve issues with students when necessary

  • Ensure the safety of all children in our program

  • Closely follow DGI regulations related to interacting with the children

  • Monitor and supervise student interactions

  • Perform ongoing developmental evaluations of children as required

 

Qualifications 

  • Prepared to pass a criminal background check 

  • Must be over the age of 21

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to maintain an overall positive and professional disposition

  • Knowledge of Scratch, Code.org, Tynker 

  • Knowledge of Coding Languages: Javascript, Python, HTML

Administrative Assistant

 

Administrative Assistant duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and
communication. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Familiar with a variety of the non-profit concepts, practices and procedures. Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. May direct and lead the work of others. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude
is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.


Responsibilities include:

  • Answer and direct phone calls

  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments

  • Maintain contact lists

  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms

  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports

  • Maintain a filing system

  • Provide general support to visitors

  • Provide information by answering questions and requests

  • Generate reports

  • Prepare and monitor invoices

  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.

  • Write letters and emails on behalf of other office staff

  • Cover the reception desk when required

  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

  • Reply to email, telephone or face to face enquiries

  • Receive, sort and distribute the mail

  • Greet and assist visitors to the office
